How Fitness at Home Helps Me Balance Mom Life, Work Life, and Healthy Living

If you are anything like me, then you struggle to find balance between working, being a mom, and trying to stay healthy and fit!  It is so hard to find enough time in the day to do it ALL and be everything to everybody!  Believe me - I get it!! It truly is a juggling act!  The best tools in my tool box for tackling this problem are fitness at home programs that I can do within 30 minutes right from the comfort of my own living room! Fitness at home programs really can make your life easier as you try balance it all .... even on a day that you have to work late or carry kids to gymnastics and soccer!  All you need to do is get organized and have a plan!  With a little help from me, you CAN do it all!!  Listen to these time-saving tips and tops reasons why fitness at home is such a life saver for me and truly is at the CENTER of my fitness program.

There are so many advantages to exercising at home. It saves me time not having to drive to and from a gym, it saves me money not having to pay for a gym membership, and it allows me to get me kids involved spending quality time with them and most importantly, teaching them a healthy lifestyle. My kids know that when I get home from work, I am going to spend 30 minutes in the living room breaking a sweat. Most of the time, they join in for at least part of the time. I hope that I am teaching them to be and remain active in adulthood and that it is important to incorporate exercise into your life as an adult. Another great time saving tip about fitness at home is that most of the time at home, I am exercising and cooking dinner at the same time! Now, I certainly would not be able to do that at the gym! lol It is easy to multi-task in that way. I can pop a casserole into the oven or shake-n-bake chicken and go exercise. I can put beans or spaghetti sauce on the stove to simmer and go exercise. It just works! 30 minutes is not that hard to squeeze in when you manage it in this way, even if you work full-time! :)

Here are a couple sneak peeks from a few of my at-home workouts just to give you an idea of what it is like. (21 Day Fix, Hammer and Chisel, and P90x3) My living room is really not that big, but you don't need a lot of room.) I call this MY LIVING ROOM GYM!
